From central Brussels it is about 15 km, roughly 20 minutes without traffic. Leuven (24 km) and Mechelen (22 km) are close too. The Brussels Ring can be very slow at rush hour, though, so leave some margin for your airport transfer, especially on weekday mornings and busy holiday departure days.
